38TH ANNUAL LEADERSHIP AWARDS
EVENT DESIGN
Once a year The Darla Moore School of Business hosts a black tie award ceremony where they recognize four alumni who demonstrate extraordinary achievements in their field. This year coincided with the 50th year anniversary of the Moore School’s creation of their international business program. Due to this milestone, this event became a two day event-the Annual Leadership Awards dinner Thursday Evening and an IB 50th Forum on Friday. This milestone also inspired a travel theme for these events.
-
I made a wordmark to recognize the IB 50th celebration as well as the Leadership Awards Dinner.
-
I created invitations mimicking the design of boarding passes.
-
The was an ad in the Columbia Magazine. I wanted to lean into the black tie atmosphere and create a formal invitation.
-
I made a feed post which utilized old film photos to demonstrate the timeline of the International Business program. I also made story posts that highlighted each awardee.
-
The program design was influenced by the U.S Passort. I made one for the Leadership Awards dinner and one for the IB 50th Forum.
-
There were many screens throughout the event space. Awardee information and sponsor logos were displayed throughout.
-
The logos were used for promotional swag items at the events as well as to generate sales at the Moore School’s bookstore.
-
I referenced all of the Moore School partner school’s cities and used them as the subject of the post card designs. I emulated the study abroad experience by hadwriritng notes on the back of each.
-
The beloved USC mascot, Cocky, was stationed here to take photos with the attendees. The design came from repurposing the table number post cards.
-
I took inspiration from the travel stamp section of a Passport. Using illustrations of wine and beer as the center of the stamp.
